LOCAL businessman Russell Hailstone, fiancée
Sandra Wiggins and renowned Teignmouth born
Masterchef Barney Mason are pleased to announce
the opening of their new café, bar and restaurant in
Teignmouth’s landmark former Riviera Cinema
building on Den Crescent. The venue has been
renamed “Take 2″ and also includes the take away
service.
They said “Teignmouth and the surrounding area
is a beautiful part of the country and is very much
on the up. We want to play our part in this and hope
to be giving the sea front and Teignmouth another
lift, offering something completely different to any
other venue in the area. With the help of our Front
of House manager, Tiago Matos, originally from
Portugal, we aim to create a continental feel to Take
2 where people can drink, eat and relax.
We have enhanced the existing bar and café on
the ground floor, with the new restaurant, bar and
function room leading on to the terrace, on the first
floor. With Barney’s own unique style of cooking,
his strong French influence, and using West Country
produce which he feels is among the best in the
world, Barney’s ambition of making his mark in the
West Country will at last be fulfilled.’
